Signals

Current serial modem-control signal states.

These status fields show whether each hardware control or carrier signal is currently asserted. They can help diagnose cabling, flow-control, and console-presence issues.

Properties

CTS

CTS pin state.

Clear To Send is usually asserted by the peer to indicate this device may transmit data when RTS/CTS flow control is in use.

RTS

RTS pin state.

Request To Send is usually asserted by this device to indicate it is ready to receive data when RTS/CTS flow control is in use.

DTR

DTR pin state.

Data Terminal Ready is commonly used to indicate that this side of the serial connection is present and ready.

DSR

DSR pin state.

Data Set Ready is commonly asserted by the peer to indicate that it is present and ready.

DCD

DCD pin state.

Data Carrier Detect indicates that the peer or modem reports an active carrier or connection.
