Image registries
Registries to fetch OCI-compatible container image from during the container build step.
Registries are written to the container runtime registry configuration. Search registries are used for image names that do not include a registry domain, such as alpine:latest.
Image registry
An image registry.
Add one entry for each registry that containers may pull from. Configure authentication for private registries and mirrors when the same image repository is available from alternate registry endpoints.
- Authentication - The details to authenticate access to the registry.
Properties
Enable
Enable this image registry.
Disabled registries are ignored when writing registry search, mirror, and authentication configuration.
- Data type: boolean
- Default:
true - Configuration
CLI: (cli)> config compute image registry <index> enable
Location
The image registry location.
Use the registry host name, and include a port if required, for example docker.io, registry.example.com, or registry.example.com:5000.
- Data type: string
- Configuration
- Required
CLI: (cli)> config compute image registry <index> location
Search registry
Container building will search this registry for packages.
Enable this when unqualified image names should be resolved through this registry. Fully qualified image names that include a registry domain do not rely on search registries.
- Data type: boolean
- Default:
false - Configuration
CLI: (cli)> config compute image registry <index> search
Mirrors
A list of mirror registries that provide the same packages.
Mirrors are alternate locations for the same image namespace. The runtime can use them when pulling images for this registry, which is useful for local caches, private mirrors, or bandwidth control.
- Data type: string list
- Configuration
CLI: (cli)> config compute image registry <index> mirror
