TCP

Settings for serial over TCP.

Properties

Hostname

The host name or IP address of the TCP serial endpoint.

Enter the address of the remote console server, terminal server, or network serial adapter that provides this serial stream.

IPv6 host addressAn IPv6 host address.
HostnameA hostname containing letters, digits, and hyphens (-). The hostname must start and end with a letter or digit.
Domain nameA domain or subdomain name containing letters, digits, hyphens (-), and periods (.). The domain name must start and end with a letter or digit.

Port

The TCP port number used by the remote serial endpoint.

This must match the listener configured on the remote serial device. Common terminal-server deployments assign a unique TCP port to each physical serial connector.
